Dozens of Jewelers giving Free Necklaces to Jobless
Inspired by CA Jeweler’s Valentine’s Program
An estimated 100 + jewelers across the country are giving away necklaces to people who have lost their jobs. They were inspired by the Valentine’s Program of 46 jewelers led by Fox Fine Jewelry in Ventura, CA.
Expanded Program of Giving Unveiled
Miller’s Diamond Jewelry is participating in Fox’s new program, “Share Ring”, a nationwide campaign that provides a symbolic necklace in sterling silver to those who have lost their jobs. Jewelers will give away two Share Ring necklaces to each jobless person—one for them to keep and one for them to give away. Share Ring, unisex and with an adjustable chain, is designed to be given away to family, friends, people in need, or to people who do a good deed.
The Share Ring necklace is simple yet elegant. The pendant is circular, with the symbolic words of Hope, Strength, and Unity. When paired with either a sterling silver chain or a black cord, it is fashionable for both men and women.
People who are still fortunate enough to be employed are encouraged to buy Share Ring in multiples, at a purchase price of only $19.99, to wear and to give away as a show of solidarity with those suffering in this bitter economic climate. All profits from “Share Ring” sales will be donated to charity. Share Ring is being offered at such a reduced price because jewelry manufacturers, promoting the message of giving by way of example, are manufacturing the necklace at cost.
“Daily, the news calls on us to ‘do our part’ to help lift our nation out of this crisis. But how? Share Ring provides us a simple way to make a difference,” Fox notes. “Buying, wearing, and giving Share Ring reminds people to consider ways they can help, volunteer or donate. And each purchase of Share Ring helps, because all profits are donated to charity.”
“Share Ring” is available for purchase at participating jewelers including Miller’s Diamond Jewelry and at www.sharering.org. To claim their necklace, individuals simply need to show proof of termination and personal identification. More information and a list of participating jewelers can be found at www.sharering.org.
